Les and Jane Oke, a couple, have been taking every possible step to protect the nature from degradation for the last 20 years. They realized that the environment is polluted mostly by the exhaust fumes emitted by vehicles using fossil fuels.

So their efforts to save the environment were mostly concentrated on converting as many conventional automobile with an internal combustion engine to electric vehicles (EV) so that the vehicles won’t emit harmful gases into the air.

Les and Jane themselves used only pure electric cars which they converted on their own. They jointly have authored an e-book on the subject of conversion of gas guzzler into electric vehicles. As a result of their efforts, a number of cars have already been converted to electric vehicles.

Whatever they know and their experiences with homemade electric vehicles are explained in detail in their ebook, Convert2EV.

The Convert2EV manual was written in such a simple manner so that even a person who has no knowledge of electric vehicles can also understand the concept. To help people to understand the process of conversion to electric vehicles, Les and Jane Oke have included ample illustrations and diagrams in the book.

The book starts with a list of cars that are suitable for conversion to electric cars. All cars are not equally suitable for conversion. The guide goes on to explain how the right kind of electric motor for the car can be selected.

The item that costs most while converting a car into an electric car is the deep cycle battery. To save money, the book suggests using recycled batteries so that the cost of conversion project can be minimized.

The ebook also contains the contact number and address of Les Oke so that you can contact him in case you face any difficulty while your car is being converted into an EV. Your queries will be answered by Les personally within a day but it can be a bit late during weekends.

The EV conversion process is not at all difficult as long as the car owner has the will and interest in the conversion. The basic things you need to buy from a store for the conversion purpose are a battery and a DC electric motor. Some more minor accessories are also required.

The following are the characteristics of Convert2EV, the manual on conversion of automobile into electric cars. It is written in a very simple manner for anybody to understand easily.

Lists the places where electric motors can be bought at competitive prices.

Provides a list of cars that are suitable for conversion.

Directs people to places where old deep cycle batteries can be bought at cheap rates.

Lists the tools necessary to carry out the EV conversion.

Explains how a used battery can be recycled.

Contains contact number and e-mail address to ask any questions.

Though the conversion process is simple and the job can be done by yourself, it is better to have a helper since there is some physical labor involved in the conversion. A converted car performs in the same way as a traditional car. The car owner will be satisfied with every aspect of the converted car’s performance.

The biggest advantage of converting the car into an electric car, in addition to protecting the environment, is the saving of money which otherwise would have been spent on gas. The car owner doesn’t have to queue up at the gas station for a gas refill.

An added characteristic of Les and Jane’s e-book is that it can be returned if the buyer is not satisfied with it, entitling him for a full refund of the cost of the book. To get a copy of the Convert2EV manual, click on the link below.

Maybe you’ve seen some ads on the Convert2EV e-book. Maybe you’ve even visited their web site at www.convert-2-ev.com/ . But is Les Oke’s Do It Yourself (DIY) electric car conversion guide the real deal or is Convert2EV a scam?

If you have never bought anything from the internet before, it is understandable why you may feel a bit anxious when buying something from the internet. You can’t be too careful or you might be taken for a ride.

My Experience With Convert2EV

Les Oke’s Convert2EV manual was the first e-book on homemade electric car that I bought and that was more than 2 years ago. Back then, the global crude oil prices were hitting a dizzying level of $100 per barrel and many car owners were getting very nervous about rising gasoline cost. Some have started to look for a cheap way to reduce their transportation cost and that sparked my interest in pure electric cars.

Back then, pure electric cars are very expensive and they still are now. One of the cheaper alternatives was to convert your conventional car to electric. I wanted to know what’s involved in a DIY electric car conversion project and that’s why I bought the Convert2EV guide.

So, what can you learn the DIY electric car conversion guide?

Firstly, you will learn what are the works involved in a homemade electric car project. Les Oke begins by teaching you how to look for a donor car for your EV conversion project. Next, you will learn about all the key components of an EV such as the electric motor, electric controller, metal adapter plate, deep cycle batteries, charge controller, volt meter, amp meter etc.

One thing good about the Convert2EV e-book is the language it was written. Les understands that most of us are not car mechanics and we may not be able to understand some of the technical jargons. Luckily, the language in the manual was keep very simple so anyone can read it and understand it.

Should you buy the Convert2EV e-book? If you are planning to start an EV conversion project from your home garage or outsource the entire conversion work to a professional mechanic, you should definitely get a copy of the manual.

If you are planning to pay someone to do the conversion for you, Les’ e-book will give you some information on the science of a DIY electric car.

Have you heard of the term “Knowledge is Power”? By reading the e-book, at least you will know what are the components needed for the EV retrofitting process. Now you don’t have to worry about being charged for unnecessary work or parts for your EV.

Les Oke’s Convert2EV e-book is relatively cheap as well. You can get a copy of it for only $49.97. Click on the link below to visit Les’ web site.

Where do you do go if you want to convert your conventional car to run on purely electricity in Canada?

If you are good with hand tools and you understand the inner workings of an automobile, you can actually do the conversion process yourself. There’s even a fellow Canadian who is willing to give a helping hand. His name is Les Oke.

Les Oke is the author of the popular e-book on electric car conversion called Convert 2 EV. You can see the main web site at www.convert-2-ev.com.

Here’s some background about Les. He and his family have been living off the grid in Canada for more than 15 years. As part of their green lifestyle, they use pure electric vehicles (EV) for transportation.

To save cost, Les will source for old vehicle, strip out the internal combustion engine and the gas tank and then replace them with an electric motor and a bunch of deep cycle batteries.

Here’s something you may not know, Les Oke is not really mechanically inclined. Most of his DIY electric car conversion project was done through trial and error.

Throughout the years, Les has converted numerous automobile to run on electricity for himself and his family. With years of experience, he has finally figured out the best way to retrofit a car to use only electricity.

The Convert 2 EV manual is his years of experience on homemade electric car penned down. Don’t be surprised if one of these days you see him and his family zipping around in their EVs on the Canadian streets.

One of the first e-book I bought on DIY electric car conversion is Les Oke’s Convert2EV. That was more than one year ago.

Back then, we were having a global crisis on energy and crude oil was trading at $150 per barrel!

Many people were panicking especially large vehicle owners. It was an expensive and scary experience stopping by the gas station to fuel up.

I was feeling the pinch also. Gasoline prices when up about 10 percent at my place. I knew back then the gas price hike was not the last one. It was a matter of time before it was raised again.

I was looking for a solution to this problem and that has lead me to research on the concept of electric car.

As it turns out, a pure electric car from the manufacturers are really expensive. An EV off the dealership lot can cost upwards of $40,000! I doubt many people can afford that.

A cheaper alternative is to convert a normal automobile to run on pure electricity. That is where Les Oke’s EV manual comes in handy.

If you want to own an electric vehicle, your first option if to send it to a professional EV converter to be retrofitted. Alternatively, you can convert the car on your own via Do It Yourself (DIY) approach. Les has written the EV guide mainly for the DIYers.

Les Oke and his family have been living off the grid for more than 15 years. Part of their green lifestyle is to drive a vehicle with zero emission. An electric car gives them that option.

Throughout the years, Les has converted many cars to run purely on electricity. Convert2EV e-book is his years of EV conversion experience penned down.

Here are a few key points I learned from his guide.

1)	Step by step EV conversion process.

2)	How to cut gasoline cost to nearly zero.

3)	How to get big IRS refund from using an electric car.

Is Les’s Convert2EV worth the investment?

Personally, I did get a lot of information out of it. It was very insightful.

I have plan to send my car to a professional EV workshop to get it converted in the future. I would rather spend some money to get someone to do the work for me.

What I wanted is some basic knowledge on electric car. At least I can have a meaningful conversation with the mechanic so I won’t look totally ignorant.

If you have plan to convert your car to EV, check out Les Oke’s Convert2EV manual.

From my research on DIY electric car, I realize there are many people that are very open to the idea of converting their gas powered car to electric.

I think this is understandable because of the recent gasoline price hike back in 2008. Many car owners were unable to cope with their inflated energy expense bill.

Electric vehicles (EV) are definitely cheaper to run compared to a gasoline car. Unfortunately, without the economy of scale, a brand new electric car from the dealership is still quite expensive.

One alternative for us to own an EV is to convert our conventional vehicle to run on electricity via a Do It Yourself (DIY) approach.

How do we start a DIY electric car conversion project from home?

Well, the first step to any car modification process is to get a good conversion guide.

There are numerous electric car conversion guides on the web. All you need to do is perform a query on the search engine and select the right one for you.

The retrofitting process is actually not that complicated. The idea is to remove the internal combustion engine and replace it with an electric motor.

Since the engine is gone, the gas tank, fuel lines, radiator, exhaust pipe and fuel pump are to be taken out as well.

To generate torque, the electric motor is connected to the existing transmission unit. This is a critical step because any mistakes will affect the efficiency of the motor therefore reducing the performance of your electric vehicle.

Now is the time where you have to follow all the instructions in the conversion guides carefully. It is imperative that you align the motor and the transmission shafts perfectly. Any misalignment will create vibration and that will shake your EV components loose.

Converting a gas powered car to electric can be tedious. If you do not have the patience, you should outsource the work to a professional mechanic.

However, we should not be ignorant on the subject of EV Conversion. We should so some research on electric car. This is to safeguard us from being charge for unnecessary parts or work done.

If you are looking for a good Electric Car Conversion guide, you can check out Convert 2 EV e-book.

Does Convert 2 EV Work for Electric Car Conversion Project?

On this blog post, I am going to write about the effectiveness of Les and Jane Oke’s Convert 2 EV online electric car conversion guide.

The way I see it, if you want to drive an electric vehicle (EV), there are 2 ways to get it. You can either buy a new one from electric car manufacturers or convert your existing gasoline driven car to electric.

If you are buying a new one, you’ll have your EV immediately. If are planning to retrofit your car to EV, there are 2 ways to it also. You can either outsource the conversion project or you can Do It Yourself (DIY).

To do your own electric car conversion at home is no easy task. The whole process is like doing heart surgery on your car. You are literally taking out the “heart” of the vehicle which is the internal combustion engine and replacing it with an electric motor.

To do so, you must be well versed with the science of automotive engineering. You need to have tools available in your garage and you must know how to use them. You must be an experienced machinist also because some of the parts have to be custom made.

That leaves us with the option of sending your car to a mechanic to be EV retrofitted. If you are this group of people, Convert 2 EV will be very useful for you.

What the guide will give you is information on electric car conversion. It will cover some basic info but nothing too detailed. After reading the e-book, you will be able to have a intelligent conversation with the mechanic. You will know what are the key components of an electric car and how you can save cost on them.

To answer the question Does Convert 2 EV work?

If you are the person who will be sending your car to a workshop to be converted and you’ll like to know some information on EV so you will be prudent…

Yes, Convert 2 EV does work and you will have an ease of mind knowing you are getting an EV that meets all your requirements.

Convert 2 EV E-Book Review

Today I have decided to do an e-book review on “Build Your Own Electric Car” from www.convert2ev.com. The authors of the book is a couple by the name Les and Jane Oke.

A quick Google search, I found out they also run www.off-grid-living.com. The website showcase life living off the nation electricity grid. Both sites are related to a same topic which is green energy and helping the environment. So far so good.

First thing I notice about the e-book is its horrible looking cover design. But we don’t judge a book by its cover even though there are a lot to be judged. They could have paid $100 to get an e-book cover designed by a professional. But lets move on.

The following are my findings from my Convert2EV review:

It e-book is really simple and easy to understand

It explained how and where to find cheap electric motors

Listed a number of car models which are suitable to be retrofitted into EV

Explained where to find cheap batteries

A list of necessary tools needed for a DIY electric vehicle (EV) conversion

www.Convert2Ev.com also Offers full online support

Generally, the e-book is pretty decent and informative. Build Your Own Electric Car is selling and $49.97 as of October 2008 and is quite competitive compared to other EV conversion guide on the web.

As a bonus, they also include 4 other e-books free of charge. These bonus e-books cover topic related to green energy such as how to live off the grid, solar power, wind power, bio diesel etc.

Since Convert 2 EV is offered under Clickbank, there is the standard unconditional 60 Days Money Back Guarantee. Meaning, if you buy the book and you don’t see any value, you can ask for your money back from Clickbank.

Convert2EV Web Site

My verdict: It is a good introductory book for anyone who is looking for ways to cut their gasoline expenses. It is understood that most people would not have the skill nor the time to convert an electric car themselves.

Then again we should not be ignorant. If we were to send our car to be retrofitted into an EV in a professional workshop, at least we have some basic knowledge on electric cars. This is to safeguard us from being charged for unnecessary parts and work done.
