Hi Larry,

In regards to your question, I would suggest you get a copy of Gavin Shoebridge's Electric Conversion Made Easy e-book. He has converted his old Mitsubishi Tredia into a pure EV ==> Gavin Shoebridge's Electric Car Conversion Manual

There's not a lot of structural components you can remove from your electric donor car. You may remove some redundant components such as the radiator, gas tank, fuel line, heat shield etc.

Converting an existing car to an EV entails the removal of the engine (and
possibly the transmission) but the adding of motor and batteries. The net
weight may not vary much, but the location and distribution of that weight
will be very different. Given this knowledge, do you know of specific
advice on the removal of certain structural components to reduce overall
weight?

Thanks for your time,
