If you are planning to convert a conventional gasoline driven car to run on electricity, check out the Electricity4Gas electric car conversion manual by Peter Millward.

Many people like the idea of using a pure electric vehicle (EV) to commute but unfortunately, a new plug-in electric car from the manufacturers is still very expensive. A good sedan EV can cost upwards of $40,000!

If you want an electric car but you only have a shoestring budget, the only alternative is to convert a normal car to use electric power.

If you understanding the technical workings of an automobile and you are good with hand tools, you can do the EV conversion in your home garage via a Do It Yourself (DIY) approach.

Peter Millward in an environmental activist and he has done numerous electric car conversion projects. The Electricity4Gas manual was written based on his experience with electric car projects.

I bought the Electricity 4 Gas e-book a few weeks back to find out what type of information it has to offer. After reading a couple of chapters, I realize the manual was written for complete beginners. Reason being the language was a bit elementary.

Is this a good thing? Well, it is a good thing if you are new to EV projects and may not know a lot of technical terms. But if you’ve done electric car retrofitting works before, then Peter Millward’s guide may not offer you much information.

So here’s my conclusion after reviewing the Electricity4Gas electric vehicle conversion manual. The guide is meant for someone who is interested on starting an electric car conversion project but do not have the skill or know how to do it themselves. You may be planning to outsource the entire project to a professional workshop.

Even though you are getting someone else to do the conversion for you, it is best for you to learn up on the basic science of EV conversion.

Why do you need EV knowledge? Well, knowledge is power. If you know how an electric car works and what the key components are, at least you will know when you are being charged for unnecessary work or parts for your EV. A little EV knowledge can save you hundreds of dollars.

If you are planning to outsource your electric car conversion project and you want to learn up on EV, Peter Millward’s Electricity4Gas is perfect for you. For more information on the guide, click on the link below.

One of the first electric car conversion e-book that I bought off the internet is Peter Millward’s Electricity4Gas. That was back maybe a year ago.

There are few other EV conversion guides on the web and Electricity 4 Gas is one of the top sellers. Even though it is selling well, many people still think it is a fraud.

So what’s my view on this?

I bought the electric conversion manual when I had very little knowledge on DIY electric car. To be honest, some of the claims on the sales page at www.electricity4gas.com are a bit far fetch.

It says you can convert your own car to run on electricity for less than $300! Knowing what I know now, the figure is way off.

Realistically, you will need at least 10 times more to convert an automobile to run purely on electricity.

Some of the suggestion in the e-book can help to reduce your EV conversion project cost, but I think it will take a whole lot of hard work and time.

For example, going to the golf course to source for used deep cycle batteries for your homemade electric car to safe cost. Doing that will take a lot of time and there is no guarantee that the batteries will work even after you’ve reconditioned them.

So is Electricity4Gas a scam?

To be fair, I did learn a fair bit about the science behind a DIY electric car. For a newbie, it has a lot of valuable information to get you started on converting a gas guzzler to run on pure electricity.

Therefore, I don’t think it a scam. The sales copy on the web page is just a little bit “hype”-py. I think there are good information in the manual and I decided to keep my copy.

DIY Electric Car Conversion Manual

If you are looking for a more realistic electric car conversion e-book, check out Gavin Shoebridge’s Electric Conversion Made Easy.

Gavin is from New Zealand and he has converted a 1987 Mitsubishi Tredia into a pure plug-in electric car. All the electric components, costing and recommendations are spot on.

In actual fact, EV conversion is not cheap. Be prepared to invest upwards of $4000 to have a reasonable electric car with a 48 volts system. Click on the link below for more information.

In this blog post, I am going to focus on Peter Millward’s Electricity4gas Manual review. If you were to surf the web for information related to DIY electric car conversion, most probably you will come across the Electricity4gas guide.

The main web site for the EV conversion manual can be seen at www.electricity4gas.com.

Who Is Peter Millward?

Peter Millward is the author of Electricity 4 Gas e-book. From the web site, he mentioned that he is an environmental activist. Meaning Peter has a philosophy and strong concerns for environmental conservation and improvement of the environment. One way of doing so is to reduce his carbon footprint by driving a pure electric car.

I wanted to know more about Peter. Unfortunately, a quick Google on his name did not reveal much information. Is he a real person or just a marketing spoke person? Honestly, I do not know. Many e-book publishers actually put a person to showcase their product as part of their marketing strategy. I am not too concern with that. What’s important is the information, not the packaging.

Electricty4gas Manual Content

What can you find inside Electricity4gas guide? Generally, the e-book was written for someone who has an interest to convert a gasoline driven car to electric. It shows you all the technical aspects of an EV conversion project.

The e-book was written primarily targeting the novice. The language is pretty easy to understand with lots of pictures and diagrams. For an experienced auto mechanic, he may not appreciate the simplicity of this manual.

Owning Your Own Electric Car

Electric car conversion is a simple but a tedious process. You have to know the internal workings of an automobile. You would also have to be good with hand tool and machinery.

The fact is, most people would not have the time nor the know how to convert a gasoline driven car to run on pure electricity. In this case, it would be a better idea to send your car to a professional workshop to be electric retrofitted.

Have you been to the workshop for a major repair on your car and not knowing what’s going to happen? It is quite a frightening experience. You will experience the same feeling with your EV conversion. You wouldn’t know the difference between a charge controller or a transmission adapter plate.

To be prudent, it is best for you to get some basic knowledge on the science behind an electric vehicle. With some information, at least you will understand what the mechanic is try to tell you about EV. To brush up on your EV skills, Peter Millward Electricity4gas manual will be very helpful.

Electricity 4 Gas Manual A Scam!

If you were to do a query on Google the phrase “electric car conversion guide”, you will see Electricity 4 Gas manual popping up. The e-book was written by a gentlemen name Peter Millward. On his website, Peter claims he an Environmental Activist. To be honest, I am not sure if he even exist.

Many people would think Electricity 4 Gas guide is a scam job. But what is the definition of a “scam”.

If something is a scam, its main purpose is to cheat others for their own gain. I doubt Peter’s e-book is written for that reason. If an e-book is a scam, then all the books in the library are scams also. It is a matter of perspective.

Before you read Electricity 4 Gas, you need to have your expectation right. The book is meant for those who are keen to know how to convert a gasoline driven car to run on electricity. The target audience is novice or amateur and not professional electric vehicle (EV) retrofitters.

If you were to think about it, most people would not have the skill nor the know how to do an electric car conversion from their home garage. It would be a better idea just to outsource the work to a professional mechanic.

To be prudent, you should at least know some basic stuff about pure electric car. At least you will know when you are being charge for parts or work not needed.

If you are keen to get a copy of Electricity 4 Gas, here’s a deal for you. If you were to order the e-book from the link below, as a Bonus, I will send you a copy of “How to Bring a Dead Car Battery Back to Life”. The bonus guide is worth $49.97.

The battery guide will be a perfect compliment to your purchase. All you have to do is send an email to treyy77[at]yahoo[dot]com together with your purchase receipt number. After verification, I will email to you the battery guide. It is that simple.

Is Peter Millward's Electricity 4 Gas e-book for real?

Electricity 4 Gas Scam?

Is Peter Millward’s Electricity 4 Gas e-book for real? I have been surfing the web and there were a few pages that talk about electric car conversion books that does not deliver.

If a program is intended to deceit people, than it is a very clear a fraud. Books are intend to provide information. Whether you can appreciate the information or not, is another question.

Before anyone purchase any electric car conversion guide book such as Electricity 4 Gas, they should know what is their objective.

What do they plan to get out of the book?

Most e-books offered on the internet are for information purposes only. If you are looking for detail calculations and electrical diagrams, sorry to say you will not find them.

If you want some heavy reading on Do It Yourself Electric Car, may be you can consider Bob Brant’s Build Your Own Electric Vehicle paperback book.

Electricity 4 Gas is definitely meant for amateurs. The book is useful for someone who is keen to know the science on a homemade electric car and yet may not have to skill nor know how to do a conversion himself. He may prefer to outsource the retrofitting work to a professional mechanic.

When he has some knowledge about electric car, he can then have a intelligent conversation with the mechanic.

If anyone still think Electricity 4 Gas is a scam, maybe he is expecting too much from a simple e-book. In this case, the book may not offer him any valuable information.

If you want a good book to read on a lazy Sunday afternoon, Electricity 4 Gas may just meet your needs.

Electricity 4 Gas Peter Millward - Find Your Ideal Electric Donor Car

Electricity 4 Gas – How to Find Your Ideal Electric Donor Car

I have been reading Peter Millward’s Electricity 4 Gas Manual again. It is surprising how much information that I missed the first time that I read it. In the first chapter of the e-book, Peter wrote about finding your donor car for the retrofitting process.

How do you know when you’ve found a great donor car?

I don’t think there is a fix rule. Peter mentioned that you must know what you want to do with the electric vehicle when you’ve done with the conversion work. Do you want the EV just to carry friends and family or do you need it to carry heavy good?

Based on the research that I did, for normal driving needs, an old VW Beetle would be suitable as an electric donor car. In the first chapter of Electricity 4 Gas manual, Peter suggested to look for a donor car with a manual transmission. It makes a lot of sense actually.

An automatic transmission would need constant torque from the engine to pump the transmission fluid. The fluid has to be pumped even the car is stationary. When an EV is not moving, the electric motor will stop spinning. Without torque, you can’t change gears!

For someone who is planning to start a Do It Yourself (DIY) electric car conversion project, getting an old VW Beetle as a donor car would be ideal. There is no complicated electronics to mess with. What we want is to get the retrofitting done as quickly and as cheaply as possible.

I was reading Peter Millward’s electric car conversion manual and I decided to make a quick post on the first chapter of Electricity4Gas EV conversion manual.

On the first chapter, Peter talks about finding a vehicle to convert to run on electricity.

A vehicle that will be retrofitted into electric is also know as a “donor car”.

When you are choosing for a donor car, you can select one which has a busted engine.

Since the conversion process suggested in Electricity4Gas book involves removing the internal combustion engine, it is a good idea to look for a car with a faulty engine.

There is also an added benefit when you are doing this.

A used car that requires major repair on the engine is usually cheaper.

The reason is obvious…you have to spend money to fix it!

You can also negotiate with the seller and keep bringing up the faulty engine issue and get a better deal for it. The seller has no idea that you are going to remove the engine.

As long as the car has a good transmission, suspension and brakes, it will do just fine as your DIY electric car conversion project donor vehicle.

There are many ways you can save cost on your DIY electric car conversion project, Peter Millward’s Electricity 4 Gas Manual has many useful suggestion.
