I have a 1973 Volkswagen Super Beetle the original is toast, destroyed because the previous owner had run it without the fan belt, overheated the engine, and destroyed the threads in the cylinder heads for the spark plugs. I have the VW stored in a container to keep it out of the weather. Right now I am looking at the various methods others have used from batteries to electric motors. The VW has a stick shift automatic. It does have a clutch, pressure and a torque converter. I will keep you posted as to my progress, if you&#039;re interested.</description>
