Electric Car Australia – An Interview With an EV Owner in Australia

Full Electric Car In Australia

The following is an interview did with Rod Muller of Goolwa, South Australia. Muller is a pure electric vehicle owner in Australia.

The donor car was initially a gasoline driven 1988 Suzuki Alto with 850cc internal combustion engine (ICE). Since then, it has been converted to run purely on electric power via a DIY electric car conversion.

The EV runs of 6 units of 8 Volts battery which will give it a top speed of 72 kmh. The electric car has a range about 50 – 60 km before it has to be recharged.

The pure electric Suzuki Alto is pretty useful if you need a vehicle to drive around town. If you are interested to convert your old gasoline driven car to electric, check out Peter Millward’s Electricity 4 Gas electric car conversion manual.
