Electric Car New Zealand – Taking Things Out

Taking Parts Out Manually

Here a follow up video on Gavin Shoebridge electric car conversion project in New Zealand. This is where Gavin manually removes all the redundant car parts in an old gasoline driven Mitsubishi “Treadia”.

Since Gavin is building a [tag-tec]pure electric car[/tag-tec], the following bits and pieces are not needed.

  • Gas tank
  • Exhaust system
  • Fuel lines
  • Petrol filler spout line
  • Used engine oil
  • Oil filter
  • Petrol Filter
  • Carburetor
  • Radiator & lots of brown water
  • And the grand daddy polluter of the planet – the [tag-tec]internal combustion engine[/tag-tec] (ICE)!
  • There was a big surprise and the end of the video about the gear box…check it out. If you are looking for more information on DIY electric car conversion in New Zealand, check out Gavin EV Conversion website.
