    Please advice what kind of E-Motor is required plus what tpe of battery is required. I have the plan that as the car will run fast the battery will charge during the run. Please advice as I asked for.

    Hi drsharma,

    The type of electric motor for an EV conversion can be a DC or AC. DC motors are generally cheaper and simpler compared to an AC electric motor.

    The type of battery that is most suitable for homemade electric car is “deep cycle battery“. It is the same type of battery used on electric golf carts.

    If you want a recharging feature when running your electric car, you would have to use an electric motor with aregenerative braking system.
